Service Description: Digital platform connecting customers with verified artisans and technicians with escrow-protected payments.
1. DEFINITIONS
- Platform – the Fix.ng website and mobile applications
- Customer – any individual or business requesting services
- Artisan/Service Provider – any professional registered to deliver services
- Escrow – funds held by Fix.ng until job completion
- Job – any service requested through the platform
2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using Fix.ng, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
3. ROLE OF FIX.NG
Fix.ng:
- Connects customers with independent service providers
- Provides escrow payment protection
- Verifies artisans using reasonable checks
- Facilitates dispute resolution
Fix.ng is not the direct provider of the physical service but a facilitator and quality controller.
4. ESCROW PAYMENT POLICY
- Customers must pay the agreed service amount into Fix.ng escrow before work begins.
- Funds remain secured until the customer confirms job completion.
- Upon customer approval, payout to the artisan is instant and automatic minus Fix.ng commission.
- Fix.ng does not hold artisan funds after approval except during an active dispute.
- All payments must be made through approved Fix.ng payment channels.
5. INSTANT PAYOUT RULES
- Payout occurs immediately after the customer clicks “Approve & Release Payment.”
- Artisan must provide valid bank details matching their verified identity.
- Fix.ng is not liable for delays caused by banks or incorrect account information.
6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
- Customer may open a dispute if:
- Job is incomplete
- Work quality is unsatisfactory
- Service differs from agreement
- During dispute:
- Funds remain in escrow
- Fix.ng will investigate within reasonable time
- Resolution may include refund, rework, or partial payment
- Fix.ng decision after investigation is binding on both parties.
7. CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS
Customers must:
- Provide accurate job description
- Ensure access to location
- Treat artisans respectfully
- Use platform payment only
- Confirm completion honestly
8. ARTISAN OBLIGATIONS
Artisans must:
- Provide genuine identity and qualifications
- Deliver services professionally
- Honor agreed price and scope
- Not request off-platform payment
- Observe safety standards
9. PROHIBITED ACTIONS
Users must not:
- Bypass escrow payments
- Exchange direct contacts to avoid commission
- Post false reviews
- Engage in fraud or harassment
- Misrepresent qualifications
Violation may lead to permanent ban and legal action.
10. PRICING & COMMISSION
- Service price is agreed before job starts
- Fix.ng deducts its commission before payout
- Any additional work requires new approval
11. REFUNDS
Refunds may occur when:
- Artisan fails to show up
- Job cannot be completed
- Dispute is resolved in customer favor
Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Fix.ng shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Loss of profits
- Actions of artisans beyond platform control
- Delays from banks or networks
Maximum liability is limited to the service amount paid.
13. WARRANTIES
- Artisans provide services at their own responsibility
- Fix.ng does not guarantee perfection but enforces standards
- Customers accept normal service risks
14. PRIVACY
User data is collected to:
- Facilitate services
- Verify identity
- Process payments
- Improve security
Data will not be sold to third parties.
15. TERMINATION
Fix.ng may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Fraud
- Abuse
- Off-platform payments
- Breach of these terms
16. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
